Our hybrid engines can use many different battery technologies, these include Lead/Acid, AGM and Lithium. For simplicity and to keep things simple to install we use two methods of communicating with the batteries. One is with VE-CAN from Victron (best with Lead/Acid and AGM), and the other is BMS-CAN (for Lithium but must conform to Victron CAN-BUS BMS Protocol). The battery bank size is typically 600 to 800 Ah and provides energy for both propulsion and house domestic loads. Using powerful inverter technology, you can run all the electrical domestic appliances you would expect at home and eliminate the need for gas on board (electric cooking).
